I was going to give them the featured image in the weekender because they sent out this elaborate press release, but…I don’t know man. I’m not really feeling anything about these guys.

Good one, Darek.
-Seun Kuti & Egypt 80
-Oberhofer (again!)
-Leslie & the LY’s (please can this happen? We’re from the same town and I have NEVER seen her!)
The lineup (so far)
I’m super excited about Tim Hecker. He’s one of my favorite ambient artists and his 2011 album “Ravedeath 1972” made many folks’ top 10 lists last year. He played the fest two years ago but I missed it because I foolishly agreed to work another show. Of course, I’m excited about pretty much every act in the lineup, but I’m just really stoked on Hecker.
But yeah, check out the rest of the lineup and go here for more up-to-date info.
And buy your pass here. Trust me it’s worth it and they will sell out.

One of the autistic boys I work with has some behavioral issues and often punches/headbutts holes in the wall. This is all I can think about when I see this one.

don’t do it, and for god’s sake don’t film it and put it online.
I really don’t like their stupid band name, but they make music i like.
And not that ho-house.

shit i know i have..

Ez subthing udpredictable bud id the end es right. Iope you had the dime of your lyfe
We stayed too long at a house party on Oak St.
the drinks were strong enough to blur the lather of coke speak
faces grew sad
tempers hot
you asked me is it worth it
I told you it is not
you said all the trees are dying, it’s like a fungus, there’s no cure
you asked me where to drive you
into the woods for our final farewell tour
I said it sounds like fun
and after all I hadn’t seen the fall since I was young
The eastern sky was red
I said I would you look you up before the winter came
we split a cab we said goodbye, I forgot your name
I heard you moved home
about 20 minutes from your birthplace
look after your mom, lay low
it’s what you should have done in the first place
Lucinda Willliams covers in her friend’s coffee shop for tips
We never saw the turning of
didn’t travel much
all i touched turned to ash like everything eventually does
you asked me “was it worth it?”
oh, you know it was
our passing may not be sudden
but it’s certain all the same
say goodbye
I just grew old and
forgot my name
