The church that my mother goes to sent me this crazy care package with homemade cookies decorated by children, popcorn, tea, coffee, candy, and many other things. Pretty awesome, but I can’t help but feel kind of guilty because I don’t really…go to church. Ever.

I basically looped this uke riff and put chords behind it. The lyrics are pretty much the product me just freestyling over that. With the addition of egg shakers, hand claps, guitar effects and other weird sounds, I think this one’s done. Download it here. Enjoy.
These are pictures of things I own. This is significant because I haven’t used these things in a long time, but tonight, as you can see, the guitars are not collecting dust in their stands and Windows 7 is running Cubase LE. Out of nowhere, I actually broke my horrible multi-month writers’ block and wrote a song. It’s not the best song in the world, but think it will be pretty cool when it’s done. It’s about 2 minutes long and very personal. It is built around a 7 second ukulele loop that I recorded on a whim last week in Wisconsin using my laptop’s microphone. Hopefully I’ll be able to finish up and show ya’ll tomorrow, but it’s L8:30 right now and I need some shut-eye.

My new glassissimos. If you haven’t already seen them on the FB, here’s the story: My parents won them at an auction and gave them to me. Apparently they belonged to American Idol 3rd runner-up, Danny Gokey…so that’s kinda nifty. They came with a coupon for free lenses too. Good deal! I just think they’re really cool glasses.
